The "Comunicar ao Consumidor" platform provides economic agents, free of charge, with the information labels they need to carry out their business, simplifying the process of creating the panel and issuing it.

By following a simple set of small steps, economic agents can automatically issue the labels and templates for displaying all the information they are required to provide under the law.

To do this, economic agents must first indicate their CAE - Economic Activity Code, and then answer 13 questions, 6 of which are optional, to help them identify the labels they should place on their establishment's panel. 

The mandatory questions refer to the identification of the establishment, the availability of a complaints book, the opening hours, whether it is linked, by membership or legal imposition, to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Center (ADR), whether there is a place for smokers, whether it has facilities prepared to receive people with reduced mobility and whether it has a video surveillance system.

Optional questions include whether there is WiFi, an electronic payment terminal, air conditioning or whether the business has a website or app dedicated to your business or establishment.

At the end of this procedure, you can also use some of the graphic features that the "Comunicar ao Consumidor" platform offers to create your signboard: it allows you to change the background colour and change the initial configuration of your project. Once you've finished designing your sign, you can export it to the email address where you want to receive it, print it out and display it in a visible place in your establishment.

This platform is provided by DGAE – Direção Geral das Atividades Económicas and aims to simplify the consumer information obligations that must be displayed in commercial establishments selling goods and/or providing services.
